PWC issues key considerations for board/audit committees..

PWC has issued its annual publication on board governance and audit committees entitled "Key considerations for board and audit committee members, 2014-15 edition".  This report provides insight into the changing governance landscape, cybersecurity, shareholder activism, revenue recognition, and risk oversight issues that dominates board meetings.

Two specifics to note include:
- 29% of boards have interacted with activist investors and held extensive board meetings on activisim in the last 12mos, and
- Risk oversight and risk appetite is a "top priority" for firms today, with 51% of corporates reporting that thier board understands risk appetite well, down from 62% in 2012.
